Alaric's GW2 Diary
Oh, these strange customs!
Dear Diary,
Today I decided to represent my Gandaran homeland in the mysterious territory of WuhVursusWuh. As I strolled out of our castle, relaxing in the lovely summer sun, I was pleased to see some neighbours! I feel they might've been from the far-off nation of Arborstone, as they had some very strange greeting customs - they began to fire arrows at me; I can only assume that there was a friendly salutation inscribed on the wooden shaft (how do they expect you to read such things?). I thought I'd be friendly and show them my lovely Sunrise sword - previously quite lackluster with their welcome, they suddenly leapt towards me to give me a hug, as if possessed! I know it's a fine-looking piece of equipment, but in their enthusiasm they knocked me to the ground and accidentally managed to drive a stake of wood through me. It was very awkward, I felt terrible for the misunderstanding! Fortunately I appear to be immortal, and revived back in our castle. Phew! I thought I'd better go and apologise for falling to the ground like that, I wouldn't have wanted them to feel guilty for my booboo. Happily a few Gandaran colleagues accompanied me, looking forward to a nice meeting and exchange of culture and customs, and we found the Arborstone group quite quickly. All I can say is that they are delightful neighbours and a good time was had by all, until I accidentally smashed their faces in with my sword a few times, and mercilessly hacked them as they lay downed.
I may bake some cookies later!
